Create, connect, and write in BIPOC community.

Join us at the Whitehorse Public Library from 6-7:30pm in the Library Meeting Room for this  FREE event.  

A drop-in space for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) folks to connect and explore their creativity through writing. Facilitated by Carman Lam Brar and Hakim Regine, sessions will include opportunities to explore writing prompts, share among peers, and socialize in a low key, welcoming space. 

No writing experience necessary!

Carman Lam Brar is an educator, parent, community organiser and Hakka (Chinese) settler living on the territories of the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council and Kwanlin Dün First Nation. She is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces where folks can find community, joy, laughter, creativity, and the confidence to grow and explore in their identity.

Hakim Regine is an artist, facilitator, and community organiser of Egyptian and French descent. Based on the traditional and current lands of the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council and Kwanlin Dün First Nation since 2020, their work revolves around increasing laughter, creativity, and connection for those around them: especially their Trans and QTBIPOC peers.
