Take apart a desktop computer to learn about the internal components.
Participants will take apart a desktop computer to learn about the internal components. Guidance will include risks to avoid, and the importance of getting permission before taking any computer apart. Participants can rebuild the computers and test if they still work. Linux is a free operating system that can breathe new life into older computer hardware, which is of particular interest for any computer that is cut out from supporting Windows 11. It's modern and secure, and a great way to get more use out of the computers that are now collecting dust in your storage spaces. Participants will have the option to take home with a free Linux laptop - secured so parents have control over its usage.
