Referance Question
Donations

Donations of books and other materials are evaluated on an individual basis. Donated items become property of the Yukon Public Libraries and will be used in the best interests of our library system. 

We only accept books that are new or in nearly new condition including:

  • hardcover books five years old or newer
  • paperbacks three years old or newer
  • literary classics in good condition and,
  • undamaged DVDs with the original jewel cases and booklets. 

Tax receipts are not issued for donated books.

We do not accept videocassettes, CD-ROMs, textbooks, or books that are dated, damaged, yellowed, moldy, or musty.
