WPL Chess Club Tournament. Taking place in the library meeting space from 5pm-8pm. All ages and skill levels welcome.

Whitehorse Public Library Chess Club is thrilled to host its first ever chess tournament. 

Date and Time: June 5th, 2025 from 5pm-8pm 

Location: Whitehorse Public Library Meeting Room Fireweed Side

All ages and skill levels welcome. 

Format: Swiss System. It is a non-elimination system, meaning all players compete in every round regardless of their previous results. Players accumulate points based on their result each round. Points determine the pairings for future rounds as well as the winner in the end. 

Time controls: Will be determined based on number of registrants. We are aiming to keep the time controls beginner friendly while also being able complete multiple rounds of play.
